If my mechanic can't fix it, he doesn't charge for it. Once he spent about three days trying to diagnose a problem, couldn't, and didn't charge me a penny. I finally had to go to the dealer (which I hated to do), and it turned out to be a very complicated problem that only the dealer could fix anyway.

As a female college students, all the people I dealt with at Frazzee were extrmemly helpful and not at all condescending. Hard to find!

They are the best. I live in Somerville and will drive out to Natick for Frazee to fix my car.

Close friends of mind recommended Frazee's Automotive to me. My friend's husband worked for Frazee's dad (pumping gas)when he (friend's husband) was a teenager back in the late 50's and 60's. Mark Frazee is very honest and direct. He has at least once gone above and beyond for me and I appreciate that very much.

Took the car in for a headlight repair and a transmission leak repair. For the Headlight: it ended up being a ground problem. He found that the ground problem was due to an electrical problem that would have taken many hours to figure out. As the headlight was the only thing affected, he offered to rewire the light to the other light somehow to transfer the energy. Much less expensive and it works just great! Thank you! For the transmission: he noticed a leak out of the area of the axle and explained the problem. He took it into the shop all day, ordered the part he thought he needed. He began the work on it and found that the problem was something other than he had thought, and that he could not fix it, that it would need to go to a transmission shop. The thing is, he admitted his mistake and then did not charge me a dime after it being in the shop all day after all the work he spent on it. I will definitely go to him for all my car problems.

Normally I've had good experience with Frazee but not this last time. I was very disappointed...I had my brakes replaced and about 4 months later my front end would start to shake when I applied the brakes. Especially around 45 - 50 mph. So, I assumed it was the brakes and called Frazee, but upon inspection Frazee insisted it had nothing to do with the brakes and that in fact (mainly) it was the Tie rods and sway bar that needed to be replaced (with an estimate of $360.00). Well I held off for the repair for a little bit. Then my nephew said it sounded like the brakes and wanted to check them out. When He did He said the Rotors...were...warped, he replaced the Rotors and brake pads and the problem did in fact stop. It was the brakes after all. I called Frazee and he said bring the Rotors in for him to check. Stayed tuned!

I almost hate to give away how good Mark and Dave are, for fear that they will get too busy. But, at this point I feel it's only fair as I will use this site to help my son, who has moved out of state, find a decent mechanic. I have been doing business with Frazee for more than twenty years and recommend them highly. They are extremely knowledgeable, very efficient, and extremely honest. In the more than twenty years I have been their customer I have only had one small problem, which they had no way of knowing about. When I reported the problem, they fixed it immediately at no charge. You can??t say the same for any of the Toyota dealers around here. They always look to save me money. Unlike the dealer, they only recommend certain work be done if it's really necessary, not just because it's on the dealer's extra profit list. On the rare occasion that a job is beyond their scope, they will either recommend a specialist or a dealer. You can't go wrong with these guys, particularly if you own an older car. They kept my last Toyota running for 14 years before they told me it was getting to be time to trade it in.

First went to Frazee because I wanted a second opinion on whether or not my caliper really needed replacing right away or if I could wait...I was referred to Frazee by a reputable body shop in Natick. So Mark looked at the caliper much quicker than I anticipated and told me that it will in about 8-10k miles need to be replaced. He said if I want to get it done now I could or if I am money strapped I can wait and it's ok. They charged me nothing for it. That's the overall story of my 1st visit. He said what will happen if I don't replace it now--the brakes will wear unevenly. If I'm ok with that, then just wait until the brakes need to be replaced then replace the caliper too. I liked that idea more. So I am waiting. I then realized how long it's been since I replaced my timing belt (the previous owner replaced it at 55k because it was in city driving). And I have 163k and didn't replace it. So, I saved up some money and then called again and asked them if they have time to replace my timing belt. They did a great job replacing all belts and they even looked at the caliper again and reassured me it's still looking good. Great cost at around $340 for my timing belt. I am coming back for sure when I need another job on my car (which let's face it, hopefully isn't soon). They are a hidden gem and I kind of hope they don't get too big so it still feels like the personal touch at a nice local shop. Great guys! Honest is rare and I am happy I researched them to find them.
