John is the best mechanic i have ever met in the 35 years that i have owned cars. The first time he worked on my car, he came to my house and worked in my driveway replacing a timing chain on my old subaru. He did this to save me the towing charges.I highly reccomend him to anyone in the western Massachusettes area.

John the Mech. treats everyone the same. Regardless of race creed religion or sex he will be on the border of rude and abrasive and charming.

John Citro is an exceptionally intuitive and competent mechanic, fair, and a pleasure to deal with. He is a local treasure! ...& he happiest when working on a Subaru.

While John specializes in Subarus, he will work on most cars. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. He and his wife Carol, who answers the phones, are nice to work with and repair pricing is extremely reasonable. Getting his name as a referral from my real estate agent when I moved into the area was and is still one of the best local tips I received! If you have a Subaru, you have to stop by to meet John and Carol, or even if you have a non-Subaru.

We learned of John by word-of-mouth here in the "hilltown" area of western Massachusetts. Though I have always handled oil changes and simple maintenance, John has performed repairs on our WRX several times over the years. He has been honest and his work rates have always been reasonable. When we finally decided to part with our trusted WRX after 10 years and 150,000 miles, we asked him to go through it and let us know what should be replaced before we passed it along to a new owner. We dropped the car off for the day, and when we returned, he told us that it was fine and that we could sell it with a clean conscience. I can't say that many other shops would have resisted the opportunity to stick us with at least a couple of minor "repairs." The car now belongs to our nephew, who commutes long distances to college. Still going strong.

John’s was recommended to me after I got a very high estimate for work on my WRX had me contemplating selling it and getting a new car. I told them the same issues as I told the other repair shop. I am very happy with the work done, the honesty and the pricing. I think I found my new Mechanic as my former is ill and not working any longer. Worth the trip.
