My '97 Chevy Cavalier makes a host of strange noises, and having owned quieter cars in the past, many of these noises make me nervous. More than once I have brought the car to Jack's Gas and they have looked at the car and found nothing wrong - and told me so, and charged me nothing (and once they even fixed the noise accidentally without pinpointing a cause, and still charged me nothing!) The car required one repair that I could not afford (to the a/c), so they found a less expensive (and equally safe, according to the Chevy dealer) alternative. The car has run perfectly for the last year and a half on this repair. Note: I am a 20-something female, so I could be an easy target for a rip-off, but they always explain what's wrong, how they would fix it if it was their car, but what other (less expensive) alternatives might be. Frank is an especially wonderful person to work with, as well as Tom.

Jack, the owner, couldn't fix my problem. Then, they brought it to a friend's garage, and he fixed it in about 15 minutes. Stripped wire in wiring harness. Now, I just go to THEIR friend's garage.

Jack's has been my sole mechanic for about 10 years now since my previous mechanic retired. They are always helpful and honest. I drop my car off in the morning and they call me to let me know when it's ready to be picked up.
