Chuck Barnes and his wife Sarah are two of the nicest, most honest people I've ever met. Chuck and the guys at his garage (a modest looking place) build and race stock cars at Louisville Speedway, and are outstanding mechanics. The only reason our 1985 GMC Suburban with over 250,000 miles is still running is Barnes. They have saved us thousands of dollars over the years, and don't consider themselves to "grand" to work on an old car. As one of their mechanics said about our car (with peeling paint!), "She ain't purty, but she sure do run!". Sarah is always very helpful (she runs the office). These people are first-rate mechanics, honest, and nice as well.

We were leaving the state to attend a family funeral when our car started missing teriblly. We drove by Barnes shop and as a regular customer asked if he could take a quick look. It took Chuck literally three minutes to diagnose the problem and put in a new spark plug wire. When we asked how much we owed him he told us to take off and to drive safely. We were not late to the funeral and more importantly were safe on the road thanks to Chuck Barnes and his timely help.

I've been going to Chuck Barnes for 8 years - I won't trust my '73 Nova with anyone else. Sarah is great too. They are honest, dependable, and friendly...

I needed a brake job on my F150. I moved to L'ville 1 yr ago and had not established a mechanic. Being a small business owner myself I always look for a small business as opposed to a large corporate chain. I found Barnes auto repair on the cartalk website. They performed the brake job in a very timely matter. They are polite, and friendly, and very qualified. Communication was great. I will definitely use them again and recommend to friends.
