had previously taken my car to the dealership for maintenance and was told the car had fluid leaks, needed the cv boot replaced and all should be done the next time i had an oil change. i needed the car to last three more years so scheduled an appointment for roberto to check out these problems and anything else. the car died on saturday afternoon in the middle of a busy street. i had it towed to roberto and on monday afternoon he called to give the list of repairs. since he does all the work by himself and had been highly recommended by several coworkers i trusted what he recommended doing. he replaced the starter switch, put grease in the cv boot and placed a bracket on it( didn't replace like the dealership was implying was necessary), and found the fluid leaks were around the timing belt, which had already been replaced a few years earlier. he put all other jobs aside and worked on my car so that i could complete my move out of state, explained all the work that he had done and expenses were less than i would have been charged if i had gone to the dealership to begin with.

Roberto is a professional, fully competent mechanic for any Honda. He has always completed the work on my Civic on time, for the agreed price, and without further visits needed.

routine maintenance was well explained, thoughts and expectations explained, and prices very fair. Fast job. Knows Honda well. referred from a friend of a very happy customer.

Roberto has been working on my family Hondas since he opened his shop in 1980. As our children grew up we bought Hondas for them not only because they are great cars but also because we knew Roberto would be there for us. Lexington is lucky to have such an honest, knowlegable Honda mechanic.

I must say that Roberto is without a doubt someone that I respect as a mechanic and a person. I have been taking my Honda to him for 10 years. He knows his Hondas and is so honest to the point that when I take my Honda in I just tell him to do whatever is needed. I know he is not going to overcharge me or to do any work that is not required. I have recommended him over and over. I think he has been in business for over 30 years. He is the owner and operator. So he is the person you talk to on the phone and the one that does the work on your car. He was recommended to me by two people before I started going to him that have been driving Hondas for years. He has been their only mechanic. They wont even let anyone else touch their cars and I feel the same way. I know he is not going to be around forever but as long as I have a Honda and he is still a mechanic he will always have my business.

Always extremely prompt and reasonably priced service from Roberto. One time he replaced my brake pads with non-Honda parts because they were cheaper. He told me about not using Honda parts up front. When the brakes started making some noise a few weeks later he replaced the pads with Honda parts for NO CHARGE because he felt badly about having used non-Honda parts in the first place. If you have a Honda in the Lexington, KY area take it to Alpine Imports!

Roberto has been servicing our Hondas since 1987. My wife and I have had five Hondas during that time, and I would trust no one else with our cars. I am very particular about my car and Roberto's commitment to providing the highest quality service always puts me at ease. I also very much appreciate the fact that he does all of the work himself. I always know who's working on my car and that's important to me. The fact that he does all of his own work and is a small operation means you don't get the fancy waiting room or other extras found at a dealership. But you know what, I don't want to pay for all of that. I want to pay a fair price to have an honest, trustworthy, highly skilled mechanic consistently keeping my car in excellent working order, and I get that at Alpine. I also just really like Roberto as a person. Honestly, if he ever retires or I buy anything other than a Honda, I am going to be lost.
