As a female, I feel very comfortable going to ANY of Earl's mechanics with any question regarding not only my own vehicle, but vehicles I have been interested in purchasing. All of the men working there have treated me with respect and fairness. Sometimes, they are a little slow about getting your car back to you within a set time limit, but I have not been terribly inconvenienced by this. Overall, I can feel relaxed about taking my cars there because I know that I will get an honest job.

These guys are great!! Been working on my '93 Mazda for 10 years now, and are a rare breed in East Central Indiana (for Mazda work, especially). They are exceptionally honest, careful to explain what needs to be done & why, patiently answer questions, provide alternative solutions when feasible, offer great value for fair prices, keep and show you parts after they've been removed/replaced, have an extensive network of suppliers for parts, are awfully nice, good senses of humor, and have been known to drive customers "to & from" when they are stuck. One evening, my car stalled unexpectedly after I filled it with gas at a gas station/convenience mart a few city blocks from Earl's. I'd just passed the shop prior to stopping for gas, and had noticed someone was still working after hours. Feeling desperate, I walked back to Earl's in hopes of receiving encouraging words and making an appointment for the next day (after pushing my car to the side of the covenience mart.) Not only did I receive sympathy, this fellow locked up the shop and hoisted a kit of tools & testers back to the station to check out the problem. He did an adjustment right there, and I drove off with many sighs of relief (after driving him back to the shop.) Next day, they checked out the car (ignition system), advised me on the situation and fixed the problem. Now that's exceptional service!

Earl and Les are 2 of the most nicest and honest people you will ever meet. I would recomment to everyone.

We have had problems finding a good mechanic in Muncie and have had major problems with mechanics being dishonest and taking advantage of us. They fixed our car in less than a day (other mechanics it would take a week just to look at it). They were very flexible, and it is comforting to know we have found someone we can trust!

This is probably the most honest and reasonably priced repair shop in town. If they have a drawback, it's that they sometimes have a wait because they are so popular. I had an army buddy from out of town visit once who drove a BMW that broke down. Despite the fact that parts were harder to come by, they fixed his car quickly for a good price. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely the best. The mechanics helped me find out what was wrong with my car from the moment I called in. They got me in and out as quickly as possible with little fuss. Explained to me what they were doing as they did it and didn't mind me hanging around as I was curious! Thank you SO much! I will be taking my car here as many times as I need to - for oil changes and repairs. GREAT prices. Honest and affordable. A family owned and run shop - just the best.
