I was assisted by the younger guy there (Dave? Daid?). I was getting a pair of replacement tires on my Porsche, and he quoted me a price based on the profile of the tire (pretty standard). When I came back to pick up the car, the charge was 30% lower than the quoted price--he told me that the tires came right off so charged me less for the labor. Very very friendly, honest people, right by the Hubbard Woods train stop, and good hourly rates--about 100/hour in early 2006 (Porsche charges 150/hour). They only work on German cars--Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, and Audi. I did see a Volvo when i was in there last, so maybe they can be persuaded to work on other European cars.

While on the pricey side, this father and son duo are incredibly honest and seem very genuine. I took my Jetta there multiple times during the winter for the same problem (not starting in very cold weather). Although they were unable to fix the problem each time they attacked it with full force. The son was incredibly honest with me about his limited knowledge of Volkswagens and went out of his way to investigate the problem (speaking to friends with more specific experience, posting on mechanic forums). He offered suggestions and only charged me for the tow, not all of the time he spent with the car. I would recommend them to absolutely anyone.

The pair who run this shop are very friendly and competent. As mentioned above, they only work on German cars and their rates are very reasonable. They've always been honest and up-front with me--once even charging less than the quote when they changed some tires for me. He said they came off more easily than expected so he knocked some of the time off (the quote was 90 for two tires, and he charged me 60 instead). Very highly recommended.

Europa does excellent work. They are clear on what needs to be done, what can wait, and what is optional. They did some great detective work to find a strange noise (and still talk about how unusual the loose bolt was). Great communication via email and phone, nice people to work with. Not cheap but I knew it would be like this when I bought the BMW.
