I've been doing business here for years. They've done everything from minor brake adjustments to engine/transmission work for me. They have a reputation of being a little higher than average on price, that being said, I've never had any problems with their work. They've been known to stay open late or open up on a Sunday for travelers through town with an emergency. They are good at troubleshooting: "I have a rattle somewhere in the front end" is sufficient for them to find the problem.

While visiting Chicago , I had engine misfire problems due to a cracked spark plug that eventually blew out, and had it replaced with a new plug while in the city. I was on my way south heading home on I-57 when about 10 miles north of Effingham my engine light came on. Being paranoid over my recent car problem, I found this place on Mechanics files and headed straight to this shop. They immediately read the code with a scan tool and explained it was only the rear O2 sensor, probably dirty because of my previous problem and that I could make it home okay with nothing to worry about. I was in and out in a half hour. Nice folks- honest- and a relief to find when in unfamiliar territory. I would go there again.
