When ever I turned on the fan in my 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix the air conditioning came on. Also, the nob for the fan adjustments was not working. At first I called Joyce pontiac in DeKalb. They told me it would be $85.00 just to look at my car and then how ever much they chose to charge me for the work on top of that. So I looked for a Car Talk recommended shop. The person at CAR Hospital looked at my car and told me I needed a new nob, because the old one was broke. The nob was stuck on "max" which always turns the air on. He called a neighboring car parts store to see if they had it and sent me over there. It only cost me $8.01. CAR Hospital is very polite, professional, timely, and honest!!!
