These guys are great! They could have easily taken me for a ride as I expected to spend hundreds of dollars on repairs and they knew it. Instead it was a simple fix and I walked out after paying $75. They are charming and fun. I will never take my car to another mechanic as long as I am in the Chicagoland area.

WHAT A RIP OFF. I was looking for a new mechanic. A friend highly recommended them. Some online reviews were also positive. Took in the car for an estimate. They were very friendly. The estimate was incredibly high. I asked why and they said the part was super expensive......$1200. Based on some glowing recommendations, I trusted them (mistake) and ok'ed the work. When I picked up the car, I asked for the name of the part to be printed on the receipt. Get home, and I find the part online for only $350. I call a local auto parts store, and they quote me $425. I told my friend and he thought I made a mistake. Showed him the receipt - I have the part # AND the manufacturer. He went online and was shocked. I called the shop and asked for the owner. I was told he moved to New Mexico to start another shop. That was about 2 years ago. The absent owner may explain why my experience was different that my friend. To be fair, they were all very nice, clearly explained the problem to me, and finished the work on time. And the problem is gone and the car runs great. But I feel like they raped me out of $800. ive had past mechanics add on 50 percent to the part cost, but adding on 200 percent is disgraceful. For anyone who trys this place, I highly recommend you get the part number on a WRITTEN estimate, and check with an auto parts store to see if NORMS is jacking up the parts fee.
