I initially went to this shop because it is walking distance from my work on campus. They have always gotten it fixed quickly and seem to be reasonably priced. The last time I took my car in they tried three times to replicate the problem and when they couldn't, they didn't charge me anything! As a woman I have gone to many mechanics that I did not trust but I really trust these guys.

A friend of mine strongly recommended that I go to Gasoline Alley and I'm very happy I did.

I have had at least 6 repairs done over several vehicles there. They have always diagnosed and called me before performing anything. On the 1 time I decided not to have the work done they recommended because I was gonna sell the car anyway.. they charged me zip and gave me the keys back. On a few occasions between me and a few friends, they have been very good about spotting future work that may need to be done very accurately, without pushing any of us to do any unnecessary work. And even referred me to another shop on one occasion because they were just too busy, and that shop did great work too. I'd trust this guy with any domestic vehicle (probably foreign too, but I have no experience on that).

BEWARE! This garage is a scam market! I took my Audi A-4 in due to having a check engine light on, and they informed me that my turbo sensor was bad, the oil pressure switch was bad, and I needed an oil change because of this. I agreed to the repairs, to the tune of $650, at which point it took them 3 days to finish. When I received the vehicle back, the car was giving me Low Oil Pressure warnings and I had to take the car into an alternate shop who told me the filter casing was leaking, and that the oil pressure switch was bad, and that they had no idea what/if anything was the matter with my turbo. When I went back to Gasoline Alley to request a refund for at least the parts, the owner (Adam I think) told me he would not honor a parts warranty since he didn't have the box anymore, and couldn't prove the other shop didn't switch out parts on me. Since then Adam, called me and let me know he had gotten a refund despite his previous statement. Upon arriving, Adam was on the stated that he had since read my yelp review on his horrible service, called the owner, and then decided that he would not refund me after all, and would instead keep the refund. What a crook. Classic stereotype of a dishonest mechanic. Unreal horrible experience.
