Love this mechanic - it is not easy to find a good Saab mechanic in a city the size of Boise! I am VERY happy with Michael and his great (but small) crew of assistants. One of the best things is that the shop is located only a few minutes from my home and workplace - in the heart of the city. Hooray for Michaels!

Michael and his crew have been caring for my Subaru since it was new in 2005, and it's still just like new thanks to them. They're straight up, honest, know their stuff, and treat women fairly. Great folks - they're one reason I bought a Subaru.

I took my Toyota Highlander into Michael's for confirmation of a local dealership's evaluation of a broken water pump. The car only had 30K out-of-warranty miles and I was suspicious of the dealership's recommendation to replace the pump ASAP. Michale's confirmed my suspicion of foul play. The water pump was just fine. These guys are friendly, seem to know their business and appear to be very honest. Although this is the first time I've been into the shop, I'm planning to take the car back when it's time for a service and report back.

Thought it time to review my favorite Boise mechanic. I've taken my Isuzu, Toyota and Subaru vehicles to Michael for over 20 years (at three different location as they became more successful and bigger) and keep going back. I had friends driving back home to Oregon have their check engine light come on and Michael checked it out and assured them they would make it home - free of charge! He installed a new engine in the Subaru and it's still going strong after quite a few years. They tend to keep my vehicle overnight but that's OK with me. Always excellent advise on what work needs to be done and what can wait. Everything you could hope for in a mechanic. Plus, Michael has a great east Texas accent!
