Gary is the kind of guy who can't let a problem go until he's solved it. My Ford Explorer (which I have come to hate for its constant annoyances)shook really bad when I drove it above 55 mph. Gary looked it over time and time again and couldn't pinpoint the problem. Every time I took the car in for an oil change he would mention the shake. The last time I took it in, he met me with a slight grin and said that he might have fixed the shake and to let him know. I got the car out on the road and it didn't shake - he had found the problem. By his reaction to fixing the phantom problem I could tell that he loves what he does and he does it with pride. His dedication is unbelievable - and his prices are incredibly reasonable. I second the comment of the person who said that Gary is really low-key about payment for services. He'll say that he thinks he's got the problem licked, but to try the car for awhile and stop back in to pay it everything seems to be ok. I want to add that when I say "Gary," I mean everyone is his shop. They're all great guys to work with!

Gary's shop is amazing. I had a problem with the idle on my Taurus and got several places to look at it all quoting around $250 for an air intake jobber for my car. Gary's shop not only installed it for $150 but held onto the park and offered to refund my money and install the old part and try something else if the problem was not solved. They are close to downtown IC and the UI campus and by far are the most reliable and honest mechanics I've ever worked with. They are the only place in IC I will ever take my car.

Gary's shop is the best. I tried a couple of places in IC before settling here. Gary's staff knows what they are doing and are quite trustworthy. I had an idle problem on my taurus, which was solved via some air intake device. Harapat Auto installed a new device and admitted that while the aforementioned solution should solve the problem, they weren't certain. In any case, Gary told me they would hold onto the old device and reinstall it and REFUND the cost of the air thingy if it didn't work. The new device fixed my taurus and the idea that this shop would actually refund the new air intake thing if it didn't work certainly made me a permanent customer.

I drive a 2001 Lincoln LS, which I have come to refer to as my "stinkin lincoln". Even though my vehicle still has a warranty left, I go to Harapat's for all rountine maintenance work. When I started having suspenion troubles that were definetly unwarranted for this vehicle, Gary was the only mechanic who gave me honest answers. Thanks to his clear explainations of the possible problem (s), I was able to walk into the dealership and be treated right, because I actually knew the problem with my vehicle. Of course the dealer did everything they could to avoid fixing my car, but they eventually ended up replacing almost the whole front end of it. If it wasn't for Gary giving me an honest evaluation, I would have easily settled for a quick fix from a dealer. He explained to me every part that needed to be replaced, and gave me an advantage (as a woman) to know what the heck I was talking about. I absolutely recommend Harapat's for honest, dependable service. There is none better!

We just moved and are feeling sad that we didn't take our car into these guys one last time. They are great and will find the simplest, most cost-effective solution to your car problem.
