I had just crossed the Mississippi river on I-80 when my alternator gave out. I didn't know what had happened though, only that I had no power. I couldn't see the dash lights with the glare from the sun. I pulled off at the exit and parked to the side of it. I walked to the Welcome Center and they recommended Everett's Body Shop and called the tow. I was on my way to Montana with a trailer in tow and this wasn't what my mother or I needed. About twenty minutes later Larry arrived. He went right to work loading the car on the wrecker and hooking the trailer up to it. We drove to the shop and he got the car into the shop. The time was going on 7pm and we were certain that they would tell us we'd have to wait until morning. However, Everett had the car looked at right away, no questions asked. THey determined it was indeed the alternator and the bearings had given out. They changed it and replaced the battery. They also topped off all fluids and had us set to go by 8pm. While we had been waiting we asked for the phone to call for a room since we weren't going to be getting back on the road that night. The hotel off the interstate had rooms for around $70. Everett called up one of the local hotels and had them book us a room around $40 or so. Everett had us taken care of and all our worries about getting to Montana were lessened because of his actions as well as those of his employees. I highly recommend his shop.

Everett has a great staff that will tow your vehicle if necessary and get you back on the road with any kind of repair. They will repair your vehicle at a resonable price. Only repair what is proven to be in need of repair. They also have access to people and information familiar with any vehicle you may have.

The owner (Everett) is a snake in the grass. He's dishonest, rude, belittling, uses incompetent labor and will swindle you given the opportunity. Avoid this place unless you enjoy throwing your money away and getting screwed. He worked on my vehicle 3-4 times before it was apparenlty fixed and I discovered he used an employee he hired from a halfway house that had no qualifications as a mechanic although I paid top dollar for the labor. He uses these type of people as cheap labor and fires them after they are unable to do the job. Prior to kicking them to the curb he treats them like dogs. He comes across as a nice man but is very dishonest and a bully. He's been sued various times by customers and employees alike for sexual harassment, racist remarks and who knows what else. Stay away!
