Stewart's is a first rate shop. Everyone was polite and courteous. All the repairs, and there were many, were completed in a single day. I was contacted during the day to discuss what was found with my honda before any work was done. They were mindful of price considerations, however, their prices were very reasonable. The only drawback to their success is possibly the week to two week wait for an appointment. The next time my car needs service, I'm going back to Stewart.

My car is a 1987 Acura with 113,000 miles. I've had it a year & never had any trouble. When the window got stuck, I look for someone in my area on your web site. I found out that the previous owner, which was a company, also used this same shop to maintain the car all the years they owned it.

No fuss, no muss. Stewart called promptly with diagnosis and cost (CV joint/axle work & exhaust vibration). Vehicle was ready within a couple of hours. Cost was reasonable, and as stated.

I just moved here from Washington State and checked care talk for an honest mechanic. They reccommended Stewarts and every thing that was listed was true. My car runs better now than it has in a long time. Everyone at the shop was friendly and Stewart was really great! Very nice, honest and really explained what I needed and what I did not. Thanks guys, car talk once again put a bounce in my step and a smile on my face!

A true professional. Within minutes of getting a ride home, Stewart had diagnosed the problem and gave an honest assessment of what needed to be done. He took into account personal factors, driving habits, and gave an unbiased answer to all questions. If I was going to keep this Honda and stay on island, this would be the shop I would go to for all future repairs/service.

very competent, basic workplace with no wait room...bathroom yes...gotta hang out somewhere else, like at the mini-park nearby. trust his shop that I won't take it to the dealer anymore...

Yes, the basic...though they start at 8am, you can drop off your car after 7am (though they took my car one time at 6:45am). Mon to Friday, not on the weekends... Yes, a bathroom (male/female) with one stall, but when you go in, you think you went into the wrong room, as it doesn't indicate itself as a bathroom, and you see the mechanics' uniforms hanging from the ceiling/locker room before you get to the single toilet. There is no waiting room, you wait outside, or the mini-park adjoining..the few homeless who live there didn't bother me, I waiting there almost 3 hours...near many places to eat- Tsukenjos, Topps Deli, New Queens, Cooke St Diner, etc.. Very trusting owner/company and the friendly receptionist, Lynn! Yeah, I'd like to recommend this to many, but hate to give out the secret... 'Hawaiiguy'

Stewart is a real master of his trade and a true craftsman. Very professional and no-nonsense. He's surprisingly soft-spoken for a guy who works around heavy machinery and sweaty men all day. I've gone to Stewart's for 5-6 times now and have always gotten good, timely service. His prices seem very fair compared to other mechanics in town. For the "They treat male and female customers in the same manner" survey question, I assume yes since his female assistant (his family?) handles much of the non-technical customer service. The shop is near several bus routes and located in a safe neighborhood surrounded by luxury car dealerships (Lamborghini/Lotus/Ferrari/Bentley/etc. nearby) and newer high-rise condos. Drop off your car, walk to nearby Ward Center or Restaurant Row for lunch and by the time you're done eating, your car might be ready! Too bad the $1 movie theater at Restaurant Row is gone...
