The dealer diagnosed my problem as needing to replace throttle body, with parts costing $900.00+ plus labor. The actual problem took a few days to track down, but was the air flow meter, total cost: just over $400.00.

Eddie, who runs the shop, kept my Miata in tip top shape for years before I sold it (at a premium price in Seattle in the winter, when every car dealer I spoke with said that a convertible wasn't worth selling in Seattle, especially in winter time). The buyer, who was a car mechanic, was happy to buy the car because it was in such great condition. (I was sad to see it go but was about to have a baby and our family needed a minivan!). Eddie always kept my car running great, and at a reasonable price. He never tried to sell me anything the car didn't need, or overcharge me or nickel-and-dime me. I never had a bad experience there.. I can't say that about many service operations!! I now have a Honda minivan, and wish I could find someone just like Eddie to help me with my minivan maintenance (sigh...).
