These guys are exclusively a Volvo shop. The good news is they will discuss options, do what the two of you agree on, recommend what should be done and why. If the repair gets more complicated after getting started, they'll call you. They don't mind giving advice or explanations. I think their charges are reasonable. The bad news is that working by appointment is for their convenience, not yours. I was irritated on my last visit when they dismantled my suspension and steering without having the replacement parts in hand. I was expecting a one-day turnaround, having left the car the day before, and could have accommodated a second day, but the third day cost me a job (I'm an independent contractor) and an out-of-town weekend event. When I called on the second day and heard that the parts were still on order, I asked to retrieve the car and bring it back the following week. Sorry, it's not driveable, but should be finished early afternoon tomorrow. This turned out to mean 4pm. Use them, but allow plenty of time and keep calling for status.
