Gordon has a laid-back and soft-spoken demeanor. He's very patient and takes time to understand and explain what's needed for your Honda. His prices are extremely reasonable. As a result, he can get swamped with work and major repairs can take awhile. Gordon reflects the soul of an archtypical Honda owner--he respects your automobile and he's also tighter than your Aunt Louise--so much so that I was put in the uncomfortable position of arguing for spending more than Gordon recommended.

I found these guys through the car talk web site and they have been great. I have a 13 year old Acura I intend to drive until the wheels fall off, and they are doing a great job of making sure that never happens. It's a drive for me to get there (near Peachtree Dekalb Airport) but worth the trip. Always call ahead to make an appointment, because they never have a slow day, and won't tell you to bring your car in unless they really think they can get to your repairs that day.

Gordon, the owner, is very quiet and unassuming and extremely ethical. He has gained a reputation among women Honda owners as someone they can trust. In my personal experience (I'm male), he's the only mechanic I've used who would do little things he saw that needed to be done without mentioning it or charging me (like adjusting the hand brake). He's also very competent and I never had the same problem come back, or new problems arise, after having a repair done there. Only down-side is that the shop has become popular enough that you have to make an appointment a bit in advance.

Gordon knows his Hondas. Just bought an Acura that I plan to take there if anything is needed.

They are a honest mechanic shop. They will always check with you for any work outside of the standard service that the car needs. Have to make a appointment ahead as they are a busy shop, busy enough that they only service Honda and Acura's and turn down other work. We have been having my wife's Honda Accord (2007 model, very low mileage) service here for the last 2 years, never had any problems. Recently went in for a Honda recall for a software update and the dealer mechanic commented that it is a very well maintained car. So complements to Far East Motor works.
