We decided to try The Car Shop based on proximity and a lone review given by a fellow CarTalkian. Brian Stillwell and the "crew" are 5-Star mechanics and regular guys who managed to get to the root of our Dekota's problems twice without giving us that "Are we in the wrong place?" feeling. We have found a repair home for our vehicles and highly recommend them to our friends and neighbors. Too bad they aren't opened Saturdays, but The Car Shop quality makes it worth the small inconvenience. Fred and Cathy - Tampa, FL

Brian (the owner) is great. He doesn't treat me like a girl, even when I deserve it. He's honest, reliable, personable. I've recommended him many times.

The owner (Brian) always takes the time to talk to me and explain all options. He even told me one time not to spend more money on a older car that I had. He told me to do enough work to make it safe and start saving for a replacement. He told me to take the money I was going to spend with him and add it to savings for a newer car. How often do you hear that from a repair shop. I would take my cars to anyone else.

Best shop I have ever used!! Have been going to the car shop for over 15 years, and now my kids go there also. I can always depend on them to do the right thing. We have also used their car auction program to buy my wife's and my daughter's cars. Thanks Brian!! You're the best.

If you want your car fixed right the first time at a reasonable price and want to be informed what your choices are, then speak with Brian Stillwell, ASE Certified Master Tech and Shop Owner. I have been to alot of repair shops that just throw parts at your car. If you want it properly diagnosed and repaired then call Brian. That's the only place I will ever take my cars to.

Looking for an HONEST mechanic? BRIAN STILLWELL is an honest mechanic! He sincerely cares about his clients and their cars. Some shops have different mechanics at different times, but BRIAN is always there. He knows all the vehicles that come into his bays/lot. He will advise you on future services needed so that you can budget them appropriately. Once (by mistake) I went to the local oil change place to change my oil while I was shopping. They gave me a long list of things I needed done! I ran over to Brian to see what was wrong with my car. He said, "nothing no codes, no issues." - I could have been scammed if I didn't already know Brian. Thanks Brian - I'll never "cheat" on you again!!!

We were in Tampa a month or so ago, and our clutch cylinder went out on our Saturn. This is a huge job because the cylinder is attached to the flywheel and the transmission has to be dropped to fix it. These guys helped us find someone to tow it some distance to their shop and they stayed late the next evening until we could come pick it up - repaired in one day. I don't remember the exact labor price per hour, but I know this is pretty much an all day job. Plus they handed us a documented guarantee that will cover any problem we have following the repair. I am grateful that they were there, were friendly, were competent, fixed the problem in one day, and helped us get back on the road again. I am also grateful for Click and Clack and this web site. It was awesome to be able to come here to find someone who could fix our problem even though we were out of town. Thank you Brian for not taking advantage of us on this job, and for your expeditious repair. My wife and I both appreciate you and your employees!!!
