After several experiences I can say that they always fix the problem and they are easy to deal with. The repairs are a little pricey but I always get my car back quickly and it's fixed right.

George at Shorty and Fred's is the nicest best repair guy ever. People in Miami are shady, so it's always nice to find a mechanic you can trust. They have always fixed my car so fast, treated me great, and took the time to call my dad in Kansas to tell him what's up with the car. I don't know diddly-squat about cars, so that's a nice touch. Everything is expensive in Miami, but they guarantee their work and their prices are always on par with other shops. Great service--go there.

My experience shows them to be extremely competent, honest and NOT expensive as others have indicated. I have shopped around for repair prices and found them to be well below any dealer price quote. I wouldn't go anyplace else.

I went there the other day on a friend's recommendation and was very, very happy. They are super nice and saved me a ton of money by fixing something the dealer wanted to replace. I felt that they were extremely honest, they explained everything to me very thoroughly, and my car was out of the shop within three hours. I hope never to have to go to the dealer again. As to the price, well, it wasn't amazingly low, but certainly lower than the dealer's, which is good enough for me.

Found the shop while buying a cell phone next door. Spoke to a very friendly mechanic, George. Next time I need work done I am going to take it there. Nice clean shop, very busy.

I started taking my car there because of its convenient location. They are always friendly and seem competent. I think there repair price is reasonable, but I have a Mercedes and so every repair is always very expensive.

I just took my car into Shorty and Freds with a really minor problem. The mudgaurd under my engine had come partially off and it needed to be fixed. I called them, they said bring the car right over and although they were really really busy they fixed the problem immediately and did not even charge me. I just tipped the mechanic and went back to work. It is so rare to find any mechanic that will do that sort of work and not expect payment. From now on they have my business. I am overwhelmed by this simple act of kindness and I would recommend them highly.

Used them for 5 years in Miami. Their prices are average, which is good for a repair shop on he beach. They have never taken my money for an unneeded repair and are always friendly, decent and accommodating. They referred me to a transmission place I wasn't thrilled with when I had an incident that required an insurance approved location, but I have never had trouble at their location.
