I lived in Orlando for years without finding a good mechanic that was also trustworthy. Since my first experience with this shop I've never gone anywhere else. I trust them to take care of my daughter's car and I know they will take as good of care of her car as they do my cars. Want more? They charge about the same as other shops/dealer or even less! Frank puts his reputation on the line with every repair. He is easy to work with and even fixes little things for free when you have the car in for service.

When I first brought my Villager in for service (which was shortly after purchase) I asked for a recommendation of what work needed to be done and in what order. Frank came through with an itemized list by priority along with estimates for each. He has never tried to sell me any service, only presented the facts. When I last asked to have my brakes checked when I brought it in for a tune-up, Frank told me "You've still got 50% wear left". He could've replaced them and charged me and I wouldn't have been the wiser. But he didn't. And that is why I will continue to bring my vehicle to CFAR.

Frank and his crew have been my sole mechanics for the last 10 years. I have watched Central Fla. Auto Repair grow from 2 bays to 5 with no coupons and no advertising. Just good honest work at a good price. Dee is always ready to help with transportation in a pinch. I wouldn't THINK of taking my car anywhere else, and if I had a dime for every person I had referred to Frank, he would OWE me the next 10 years of repairs.

Found these guys on the Car Talk website. I started hearing a clicking sound each time I stepped on the brake pedal. They checked it out and told me it was a shift lock out switch, and I could have the steering column removed and the switch fixed, or I could live with the the clicking noise and keep a couple hundred bucks. They assured me there was no safety issue, and the owner said he would skip the repair and learn to like the noise. I appreciated the straight answer and the absence of sales pressure. I feel I can go back and get an honest answer if something else happens.

Over the years I have been a steady customer of Central Florida Auto Repair and can't recall ever being disappointed in the professional service Frank and Brian provided, Whenever I recommend CFAR to others I tell the story about the days when I used to own a Ford Taurus and after repeated repairs Frank told me that I should think about buying a new car or I'd be faced with continually having to spend more and more money on future repairs. Can you believe that the owner of a repair shop would advise a customer to stop spending money at his shop? I know it sounds crazy but it's true. I couldn't believe my ears. This is the kind on honesty one can expect at CFAR. No up-selling and doing unnecessary work going on there. No need to be an expert on car repairs to avoid being overcharged. CFAR always looks to save you money by doing the smart, conservative approach. They don't just replace parts. They diagnose the problem and solve it in the most economical way. Over the years I've recommended CFAR to numerous friends, family and coworkers and all have been completely satisfied with the service they received. Frank, Brian and their staff are experienced, highly trained professionals that will take great care of your car without hurting your wallet. Give them a try. You won't be sorry.

Frank and the staff ordered the parts, installed my new clutch and I'm very pleased. The job came in for less than the estimate, and the car feels solid again. In fact better than ever. It is so good to find a reliable and totally trustworthy auto repair shop. I like to wrench cars, but some things, like doing a clutch in my driveway is not for me... They did it well !
