When I moved to the area, I asked tow truck drivers when I used AAA to recommend someone other than their own garage. Two of three recommended Harvey Road. Joe particularly goes out of his way to make sure that my wife feels comfortable talking problems with him about car problems and follows up to makes sure things worked out.

When we moved to the area, we had to use AAA twice in about a month. Each time I asked the driver where they would take their car if they had to go somewhere other than their own place and both said Harvey Road without hesitating. 12 years later, we still use them. They are honest, prompt, and competent, treating my wife and I the same no matter who is in there.

Started with Harvey Road Automotive with my first car in 1986. Three years ago I move to Washington D.C. and I drive the 2 hours north to have Harvey Road Auto service my car. I know I can trust the mechanics recomendations. They are strait shooters. The price will always be fair and cheeper than anyone in the D.C. area.

Joe Harvey Road - that's what we call him - is the greatest guy in the world! He's willing to tell you what is going on, will always fit you in, and cares about the job that his shop does. We'll bring all our cars to him, and have now for the past few years.

Nice people giving good service. Very upfront and honest about working on my 12 yr old Maxima. Very pleased. Then when our Saab went bad, they recommended a different shop since they weren't comfortable with Saabs.

Joe is great. My family has been bringing our Hondas and Toyotas to them for over ten years, and have never had a problem. I just bring it in, ask for regular maintenance, and pick it up later that day. They take care of the rest. I couldn't ask for someone better.

First let me say that this is first ever review I have ever written: Both me and my fiance lived in Wilmington for 4-5 years. When looking for a new mechanic for our car (04 Highlander), a friend strongly suggested that we take them to Harvey Road Automotive. Best Automotive Advice ever! 2 years ago we moved to Boston and are right about to move again to Seattle (in less than a week). We took are car to get looked at prior to this cross country trek at a local dealership's service center. They told us that we needed to have the timing belt replaced prior to the trip. We were fairly positive that we had already completed this prior to our move to Boston, but couldn't find any documentation to back it up. Right before I was going to throw in the towel and pay to have this done, I decided to take a shot in the dark and call up Harvey Road to see, if by some miracle, they had this service in their records. I called, talked to Joe and informed him of the dire situation and that I i doubted he could help (we hadn't taken our car there in 2 years), but it was worth a shot. Remember we are driving cross country in less than a week, and anyone that has moved knows it is a hectic and stressful time.He as immediately able to put his hands on the file for the car. I told him that I thought we had completed this service in the summer of 2011, but he said he couldn't find it in his records. As I was thanking him for his time and about hang up, (and frantically schedule schedule an apt to get this servie done in Boston) he said "Hang on let me check 2010". He explained that this service should be completed (90k miles) and that the car had more than per his 2011 records. Low and behold, there it was done in Sept 2010! I was more then amazed! When moving to a new city there are a many challenges, finding a new general doctor, dentist, and eye doctor. In my mind right up there with these important physical experts, is a trustworthy and competent mechanic! I can say that Joe and his team are amazing and we were truly lucky to find them in Wilmington. I don't trust many people when it comes to our car, as I have been burned in the past by mechanics trying to tell me "I had to get X,Y, and Z completed on my car and it would cost me a lot of money" only to find out later that I really didn't need to have completed, and the mechanic was just trying to make some money off of me. I can honestly say that I truly miss having Joe and his team take care of our car. The team has great customer service, is amazing at what they do, and clearly keeps great records. I only wish I could take them with us to Seattle!!! Thanks again Joe, you really saved my bacon on this one!
