Scotty, the owner, seems very honest, friendly and easy to work with. I had a burned out head light and, being new to the area, wanted to find a mechanic as good as the one I had in North Carolina for the last 15 years. An excellent review on Yelp led me to Scotty's. I also asked him to replace the windshield wipers. This simple work was completed quickly, then he pointed out that I needed new rear brakes. Remembering that last year my NC mechanic told me I was getting close to needing them, I scheduled the work for another weekend. That work was also done to my complete satisfaction. The thing that really impressed me was a conversation I overheard. Scotty was selling a car to someone from out of state. The buyer had enough cash for the car, but when Scotty found out it left him with no cash for the return trip and his bank had no nearby ATM, Scotty offered to take part of the payment on a credit card. I know this cost Scotty a transaction fee and was a bit more risky, but it left the buyer with enough cash to cover tolls and other travel expenses.
