These guys are a rare find! If you own a Volvo, if you are thinking of buying a used Volvo, if you want a place that can do everything the dealer can (including work on the latest computer ladened cars) then this is the place you want to go to. An honest used car dealer. They go that extra mile to make sure you have a pleasant experience, and stand behind everything they sell. Whether you are buying one of their cars or are just bringing one in for them to work on I just can't say enough. You will be happy! Their Service Department is wonderful, the Tech's are friendly and will explain ..... in plain English what's going on with your car and what it will take to fix it. I have had them working on my Volvo's for years. They have a web site www.theautowerkes.com that gives you a little insight about what they offer. They have been in business for over 30 years so they must be doing something right!

As a longtime customer of Autowerkes, I can tell others only glowing reports about the staff and their work. My late husband and I have been satisfied owners of several pre-owned cars purchased at Autowerkes. Each one has been in excellent condition and lasted many years. In addition, we have been regular clients for all the necessary ongoing tune-ups or repairs needed. In every respect, the staff has been reliable, competent, knowledgeable, honest, and trustworthy. Besides, everyone has a pleasant, friendly personality, with personal care and consideration. Hurrah for finding good workers with integrity and care for the customer.

They seem like nice people so they probably arent shysters. The best I can say is they are incompetent. Brought my Volvo in Monday morning because there was water in the gas. Told them that. A week later they told me that is not the problem as they bypassed the gas tank and it still would not run so they have been running tests. Three more days and I decide to tow it to another service center. Now he says he ran a test on his own time and there is water in the gas. Charged me $250 for a week and a half of meaningless work and still could not figure out that there was water in the gas as I first told them. Luckily, Bills Auto in Hartford is much more competent and honest and fixed it the first try.
