What confirmed for me that they were honest was when my sister-in-law dropped her car there to have an exhaust leak fixed. She had her car inspected a week before at a mechanic in RI. who told her that her car had an exhaust leak and therefore he could not give her the inspection sticker until she fixed it, although he still charged her $30.00. She then dropped the car at Dulin Auto and told them what the problem was. Couple of hours later, they called her back to tell her that there was no exhaust leak, and that her exhaust was actually in a very good condition (she had replaced the exhaust less than a year before). The following weekend, she went back to the mechanic in RI. and told him that she had fixed the exhaust. He checked it out and agreed and proceeded to give her the inspection sticker. At that point, my sister-in-law confronted the mechanic who, to say the least, did not take it well, and an argument followed... Anyway, my point is that Dulin could have very well told my sister-in-law that her car had an exhaust leak, pretended to fix it and charged her several hundred dollars, and she would not have known. However they did not do that. For that, I would recommend Dulin Auto to anyone, as they were recommended to us shortly after my husband and I moved to Connecticut last September.

Wanted front end of my Malibu Max checked out because of rattle and noise. They gave it a thoruough inspection and made some minor repair. They worked on it for about 40 minutes and front end turned out to be alright. They gave some good suggestions and did not charge for the inspection or work performed. I felt confident with them and will have future work done by this repair shop. I highly recommend them; very proficient!

They gave me better advice about my Audi than I have ever received from Audi service managers at TWO dealerships in Connecticut. Not only did they diagnose my car correctly, promptly, and kindly for NO charge, they also gave me excellent advice about how to negotiate the repair costs directly with Audi. The timing belt broke on I-95 in December 2003, at only 52,000 miles. It killed the turbo on the A4 1.8T and did lots of other damage leading to a very expensive repair. Mike Lapuglia explained that the timing belt was not even up for inspection, according to the Audi service manual, before 90,000, and offered advice on how to speak to the Audi folks. I now recommend Dulin Automotive often. To add to the drama, I was driving to New Haven for a final exam at Yale Divinity School when the Audi died that snowy day... Thankfully, a Jehovah's Witness stopped and gave me a ride all the way to school! But that's another story.
