Lundstedt is one of the top shops in the area. As such, their labor cost is slightly higher than some, but they get the job done RIGHT. I've had several different cars at their shop, and they have fixed everything they have worked on the first time. I've taken my cars to cheaper shops and have not gotten near the quality of work that I get at Lundstedt's. If you want your car fixed right the first time by competent mechanics, give these guys a shot.

Sadly, pre-2011 this shop gets high rank. We've taken multiple vehicles for monthly maintenance & major repair over the years. In 2011, moved and since returning to Fort Collins (2013, Oct) service, repair work, honesty, and communication have gone down hill. It's become the norm to take the full business day to get to a small domestic oil change, major repairs reported as dire & necessary are not confirmed by a second & third opinion. Also, it some how became their norm to keep a vehicle (without telephone communication by request) for multiple days before moving into the shop for inspection. Twice (2 different vehicles) we were chasing them to find out an ETA on diagnostic. This is with an appointment for service. I'm disappointed that a once hones business has gone down hill. We have shared these concerns to the tune of blank stares, inquiry of where we'll take the vehicle instead, and multiple apologies. I'm not sure what has created such a dramatic transformation, however, it's no longer worth the headache for us. Disappointing :-(

We are committed to our customers, We strive to be the best. At times it is hard to have a completion time set and we try to stay in contact with our customers in regards to the time frame. We would be happy to discuss any problems you are having with our service as we can not continue to grow as a company without the valuable input of our customers. We attempt to offer the same type of service we would provide to our mothers, to all of our customers. With all repairs, we try to make it convenient for our customers as for the service they require. If a dead line needs to be met, we do all we can to have a vehicle ready at that time. Adequate communication is something that we are focusing on in our office to meet our customer's expectations. Please feel free to contact Brian@lundstedtautomotive.com or call 970-221-9400 to resolve this issue. Thanks for your comments. Brian Lundstedt

  • Full time RVer
Well all I can say is this family business is more than competent and strongly committed to customer satisfaction and quality of work. I am a full time RVer after a scheduled stop at their shop after a referral from a local customer, I can report complete satisfaction with their work. Their customer service, there are no one or two words that are adequate. We would have been in the deep stuff the day after the repairs, over 200 miles away and check out what they did to take care of us and make sure we were alright. Here is the story >>> http://turnwhentheroaddoes.com/2014/05/17/part-6-the-trip-to-colorado/ Thank you so much Brian and Gary. We will see you again

We have a fleet of cars for our business and had given Lundstedt Auto most of that business. Their service has dropped off considerably. We no longer use them for anything. I brought in my personal vehicle for several small repairs. I had first gone to the dealership and didn't like their prices. Lundstedt said they could do it for less, do after paying the diagnosis at the dealership, I took it to Lundstedt. I made an appointment with them on a Thursday and by Saturday I was still waiting to hear back from them. They had not indicated they would keep it even overnight. Since this was a personal vehicle, I needed it for the weekend. I called and told them that I needed my car back and so they pulled it into the shop on Saturday and began tearing into it. After some additional costs for putting it back together without repairing it and some rude comment from the owner, I got my car back. With enough complaining about their delayed service by my husband, we got the extra charges removed. The next week I brought it back to them and they found some "necessary repair" to add on that was as much as the extra charge they had removed. I finally got my car back fixed. Now, a year later, the problems they "fixed" are broken again. Specifically, the repairs were for warning lights that stay on in the dashboard and a back door that won't open. I would have done better to use the dealership or gone elsewhere. That's not the only time we had poor service. One if our fleet vehicles is a large CDL truck and we had brought it to them because it was stalling or would not start. After claiming they had fixed it, it continued to stall and not start. When we called about it, they said we would have to bring it in for them to look at it. This isn't a truck you can tow behind you. With no explanation and no help from Lundstedt, we had to look elsewhere for automotive service. We have found some other shops with better mechanic ability and customer service, better turnaround time and honesty. We have taken all our business elsewhere and will not use Lundstedt again. We also let people know of our experiences with them.
