i like this shop because they are the most honest shop i have ever dealt with they tend to cost at least $100 less then everybody else they let you know if they have to do more than originally thought and they do not proceed without permission

I was recommended to this shop by another shop in town, as well as the excellent review I found on this site. My first experience here was great. I am a graduate student with little money, and they fixed a flat and put a used snow tire on the car. However, when I went back for new tires late this past fall, my experience was not as pleasant. I went with Ken's because I liked their service and felt the mechanic (Maybe his name is Scott?)treated me like a competent adult. The second time I went in I felt the opposite, the tires I ordered didn't end up being available; the shop called me and told me this. I went to pick up my car to bring it to another place to get cheaper tires. The alignment, however, had already been fixed BEFORE they realized that they did not have the tires I was looking for, so I had to pay $80 for the alignment. This made me very upset, as I was not planning on using them since they did not have the tires I wanted at the price I wanted, so I ended up just getting two tires and the alignment. I'm mixed about this shop, because they seem very competent about what they are doing, but made a huge mistake when it came to my car and didn't cut me a break. I have a new repair, and I am unsure if I should still use them. I wanted to put this review at least so others could be aware. Perhaps still a great shop.
