I took my car in because of clunking sounds in front left tire. They gave me the options to repair the strut mounts which Toyota has been putting newer models of strut mounts every year, hmmm? Or to disassemble and retighten the strut mounts. So they had tightened both sides until I raise the money to replace them. They were very accomodating in giving me rides and making time. I had also asked them to disengage the Daytime Running lights (DRL) which they attempted according to manufacture's instructions. They tried many times but other electrical/computer technicalities became complications. Gregg the owner allowed me to take my car back in several times to fix the problem or to restore to the original wiring. Gregg and his staff were very patient and accomodating. --Rachel

Gregg is the owner of the Toy Shop and has been for 8.5 years. He is very honest with his customers. I have never had a problem with him. He answers questions and explains things in laymans terms. In my opinion, I would not take my car anywhere else. He has highly trained mechanics and has his hands into every vehicle that comes though his shop. Highly recommended. Kim

Greg is the owner and one of the mechanics at the Toy Shop. He is honest, competent and fair. He has always done what he said he would do, and in a timely manner. I have never felt that I was overcharged, or that something was done unnecessarily. He will always explain what is being done, and understandably answers your questions. I highly recommend his shop. And I agree with one of the other comments, his shop's waiting area is nice and has good reading materials. I was so pleased to find a competent Toyota mechanic and not have to go to the dealership.

I recommend Greg and his mechanics highly. I have a 1987 Toyota truck that they have kept running beautifully. It runs so well, its hard to consider ever giving it up. Greg really takes pride in his work and uses only Toyota parts. He even mounted a mirror for me for free one day. If you want a mechanic that cares as much for your Toyota as you do, go to the Toy Shop.

The Toy Shop maintained two Tercels I used for work and eventually wore out after each went over 230,000 miles. They have maintained my 2001 Camry for seven years. They are friendly, honest and reliable. Prices are below dealer prices.

This shop was recommended to my friend by a friend, and she in turn recommended them to me. I'd had a terrible experience with my last mechanic, and the people at The Toy Shop are fantastic. They are nice and honest. The last thing they worked on for me was my timing belt, and they charged less than than the estimate that Brakes Plus gave me. If you're looking for a good Toyota mechanic and want someone you can trust, go to The Toy Shop.

I'm sorry to say but I had a pretty bad experience with this shop. I took my 2 year old vehicle to get the 30K service done. From the reviews I thought that at least it wouldn't be as much as the dealer, but I was dead wrong. The trouble started on the 1st phone call. It says "1st time customers get a 15% discount", but evidently that's only for Lithuanian or Swahili speakers. I mentioned I saw them on the website, which the response was "Oh", but nothing about the discount. I figured that they would just include it in the bill. So I dropped off my car and got a phone call the next day asking me "How much did _ quote you on the service?" Which I thought was a weird question. Last I heard the standard 30k service wasn't a work of art. I said, "I'm a new customer. So, no one quoted me anything." Then I asked the next appropriate question, "So, how much is a 30k service?". She said "Well, they're not done so I don't know". Again, I thought this was weird because if they only do Toyotas, and if there's nothing to do but change the oil and air filter, then how different could my car be from the last one? Anyway so I showed up to pick up my car and I got the bill. It was over $300. At the dealer this service is $252, which I think even that is a bit excessive to just change the oil and air filter. Then I looked and saw their labor rates are $160 per hour. I wish I could get paid that rate and I have a law degree. Then I mentioned about the discount on the cartalk website and the lady told me "Oh you have to mention that beforehand. We've already run this through. Sorry." I'm sure they do a good oil change, and might do reasonable repair work. I have no experience at that end, but I am not going back, nor would I recommend this shop to anyone but my rich relatives who I don't like that much.
