Steve runs a mobile Subaru service. So he comes to you to fix your car. I can't tell you how convenient it has been to have Steve stop by my office during the day and make repairs without causing me any inconvenice by needing to take time off from work to drop my car off or needing additional transportation. Two days after Christmas my car died because of a bad alternator off of Sheridan and 6th Avenue. I hesitated to call Steve because of the holidays. He happened to be visiting relatives nearby and packed up the whole family to come and check on my car. Any time I've needed work done he normally is able to take a look at my car on the next day. If it's an emergency, like I described before, he's there the same day. His customer service is excellent, he is highly competent and his prices are much more reasonable than any other repair shop I've ever visited. The only complaint I can think of is that he only services Subarus. All of my friends wish he serviced more types of cars so they could call him as well.

Steve's worked on my Subaru several times. On more than one occasion, he's given advice, and not charged me anything. All the repairs he's done have been done quickly and competently. I couldn't be happier, just wish he'd work on other makes as well..

This is a great little one-man, one receptionist business. Steve makes me glad I own a Subaru. I've used him 3 or 4 times a year to work on my 2001 forester and I've never had anything but positive experiences. There are a few things I especially like. 1) He comes to you, and if he needs to work on your car at his shop he lends you a car. We have small kids and only one car so it's a huge, huge pain to drop our car off and have to go get it again on the bus. 2) When he says you don't need it, you don't need it. I'm kind of a worry wart so I appreciate his 'let's wait and see' attitude. One thing he doesn't do, that I wish he would is let me know what should be next on the repair list, or what to watch out for. But overall his predictions have been good. He's not one of these mechanics that takes advantage of your ignorance. 3) He's very reasonably priced. I've spent double what I've paid him at other shops and didn't get it fixed. He also let's me know if I should take a repair somewhere else. One thing I especially appreciate is that he will ask you if you want to use used parts. The dog ate my seatbelt once. I thought that this would be no problem, but he told me how expensive seatbelts are. He scoured town and found a used one for me, which saved me a couple of hundred dollars. The only downside to Steve is that he's busy. So don't expect to call him and get an appointment tomorrow. If you can live with that then you'll be pleased.
