Al's Autohaus is a little piece of Mercedes-Benz heaven. Al is without argument the most honest car technician I have ever met. I have two Mercedes, a 1981 300SD and a 1991 300D and I see no reason to trust them to anybody else. One quick example of Al's honesty: I was hearing a clunking sound coming from the rear of the car (this was in the 1981 300SD). It sounded like the bad differential on the Suburban that I used to drive. I took the car to Al expecting to pay around $1000 to have the differential replaced. After we went for a drive Al told me that the car did not have a big problem. A fuel hose had hardened and was causing the fuel pump to pulsate. He replaced the hose at a charge of $12. He could have gotten $1000 out of me and I never would have known the difference. I was overjoyed that day. The current price for shop labor is very fair, especially considering the sheer skill that Al has. His shop is located in southern Denver off of Dahlia and Evans. Take I-25 to Evans, go east for one block, turn left on Dahlia, and his shop is on the left hand side.
