Mike & Bob have worked on our Cherokee, Outback and 4WD Town & Country minivan for years. I find them responsive, professional, honest, hardworking and just the best. They are right on the bus route so it's easy to get to and from downtown to drop off and pick up my vehicle. If you've got a 4WD vehicle... use 'em. You'll be happy.

I've had The Four Wheeler work on my Ford Explorer several times. Overall I've been very favorably impressed. Even when they screw up they are fair about fixing it, see the following incident. More than a year and 6,500 miles ago, I asked them to fix a noise coming from the rear differential. They performed the work, I told them the noise was still there, since my tires were quite worn, they appropriately asked me to return when I got new tires. Since I don't drive that car much it was over a year and 6,500 miles before I returned to them with new tires and the same noise only louder. They found that they screwed up the repair the first time, put over $685 in new parts and labour and charged me nothing!

I have a '93 Grand Cherokee. And like many (all?) US vehicles - at least of this vintage - it's a bit of a maintenance hog. I used to take it to the Jeep dealer. Then a friend told me about the 4 Wheeler. The Cherokee was making a rattling noise that the dealer said would cost hundreds of dollars to fix. I asked Bob at the 4 Wheeler about it, and he not only explained exactly what was causing the noise, but the fact that it didn't effect the vehicle's handling or safety. And I chose to leave it well enough alone. Bob and Mike are friendly, knowledgeable, and really appear to care about both my vehicle and me. I highly recommend them for 4WD vehicles.

Bob and Mike are honest, wonderful people and mechanics! I have sent about 12 people to them and I have never heard a complaint. They're the best!

Bob actually referred me over the phone to another shop, because i thought it was body damage from a rear end collision. I took it there and they told me to go back to Bob. I ended up with replacing the axle (axle case was dented). I had to leave town and he let me leave my car there an extra day. About a week later after picking it up, he called me to see if it was working okay. Add that to the tune up he did, he skipped the spark plug replacements because he said mine were fine, i think you'll find Bob and The 4 Wheeler is a decent place to take your Jeep. I think there is a good review on here already, but The 4 Wheeler needs a couple more. What I really like is that he isn't a Jeep snob. There are very few places, other than dealers, that will take a stock jeep and work on it. The only other place is too far out of the way, and they don't have Bob's disposition. The 4 Wheeler is a bit far from home but really close to work. The fact that Bob is just an all around nice guy, means I would drive out of my way to have him work on my Jeep.

I am so happy to have found the 4 Wheeler (through CarTalk.com in fact). They are great to deal with, honest, reasonable, timely, they know Jeeps really well... everything you want in a mechanic. I have brought my Grand Cherokee in there twice, and will keep going to them with any problems. It may very well be they are great with other kinds of cars too (I wouldn't be surprised) I can only speak to how great they are with Jeeps though, because that's what I have.
