This used to be "Vail Amoco" until the city fathers decided that another ski lift was needed to bolster the fragil(?) economy of the area. Their pricing is competative, but it is "mountain pricing" - parts etc., are a little more expensive to get up here. They analyzed the problem on the Bravada as two bad oxygen sensors, ordered the parts (took a day), replaced them in the time estimated. Very friendly, and honest.

I have had George and the guys work on two Subarus I've owned, a Forester and a Legacy Outback wagon. They've frequently gone out of their way for me and I have gladly recommended them to numerous friends. In addition to the excellent customer service (Thanks Mike!) and the thorough mechanical skills and knowledge that I've always found there, two instances stand out for me: More than once, when I have needed repairs on a day when I had to work, they drove me to work after I dropped my car off in the morning and then picked me up after work, and brought me back to their shop to pick up my car. They have done this many times and I am grateful. The second is that, right now, I don't have a car - my Outback with 215K on it died a few months ago and I find I don't need one right now. Soon after it died, I received a coupon from Leadfoot Linda's offering me $25 off my next visit. After I had received an invoice a couple of times showing that I had a credit of $25 with them, I called their customer service dept and told them I don't have a car now so they should probably stop sending me the coupons as it was a waste of money and paper. They offered to just send me a check for $25! When I get another car, I will definitely return to Leadfoot for any repairs I can't handle myself.

LL came highly recommended.Sounded good. But they blew my car up and purchased it from me. That was the good and the bad. Took 3 weeks before they admitted that the car would not run.

My young daughter took her Subaru in for wheel bearing and sunroof before a 2500 mile road trip. Sunroof regulator delivery was iffy. The said that they'd try to get it in time, but would do wheel bearing in any case. Went to get it at 5 the afternoon before the trip and nothing done because regulator had not arrived. Daughter pounded counter and there may have been tears involved. Mike at the counter apologized and said he'd call his tech back in to do it that night. He called my daughter around 9. He was busy taking his fiance out to dinner for her birthday, but called to tell my daughter that her car was now road worthy and he or the tech would wait until she arrived to close up and go home. Thanks Mike and thanks Mike's fiance. (and the unnamed tech)
