We have used this shop for at least 15 years for hondas and acura. Started out with Tony in a one stall garage, now he has 4 bays and a couple of real good worker bees. He will always give you options based on the age of the car, how long you are planning to keep it and what the priority of the repair should be. He is something everyone looks for, a competent honest mechanic!!!!

I took my car there for an inspection prior to purchase and they performed a very thorough inspection of the car ans spoke to me in private (while the seller waited outside) regarding what things I should watch out for. They caught some things that weren't initially disclosed and this small fee ended up giving me lots of negotiation room. His prices are very reasonable and he fit me in to the schedule with almost no warning or prior appt time.

I've been taking my 560SL to Holger Gephardt since I bought the care 3 1/2 years ago. He's the best!

Really great shop. Though they specialize in foreign cars, I bring my domestic there as I trust them with it more than other shops.

John is the friendliest mechanic I have ever met. He is also bery honest. He does great, dependable work for a very reasonable price. Great mechanic!!!

John is reliable, friendly and a big fan of preventative maintenance. He was especially helpful when my sis's car was totaled by its own timing belt (talk about a design flaw). Avoid the VW dealership across the street that treats its customers like annoyances. John's shop offer better value and cares about quality work!

Relocated recently to this area, needed to find a good mechanic for my Nissan, which was 3 years old in Feb. Tried local dealer, wasn't impressed. Checked Car Talk site, saw this shop. When my car was inspected, they said I "needed new brakes", but with 34K miles mostly highway, I didn't really think so yet. I took my car to John based on this site, & he showed me why I was not due yet & gave me an estimate of when he thought I might need this. He has changed the oil another time for me. Nothing big has been necessary, but my opinion is, he is an honest mechanic. He's been in business for a very long time, has many long time customers, & he's always busy. That says a lot.

John is a very honest mechanic. He does not try to talk you into stuff you don't need. He's busy. He has plenty to do. He will give you an honest estimate of what is wrong, if anything, etc. You can trust him. He doesn't keep you waiting either. The "waiting room" is not fancy, so if your stay is short and you plan to stick around, you can either read the LA Times or bring along something else, and some coffee or a diet coke. I gladly gave up a fancy room for good repair prices and honest work. I always feel like I was treated fairly.

My car required work that they were not able to do in this shop, so they sent it to a near by trusted shop right away and got everything fixed and my car back quickly. I was not charged anything extra for this.
