Ken is great. Although he usually works on Toyota/Lexus products, he humored my Audi through several general maintanence items and one repair. The repair was a CV boot replacement. If there's something not right with the repair they will fix it immediately, no questions asked. He's dealt with my wife and me, and treated us both with respect and honesty. I would recommend this shop to anybody.

Ken beat the dealer repair cost by 20% and explained the problem and solution in very easy to understand terms. He is honest and I will use him again should something else break.

I found them on this website, after having another runaround by the Toyota dealer, who thought I needed a valve adjustment, EFI service and repair of a power steering leak. Ken did a complete inspection of the problems the dealer pointed out, and confirmed none of them needed to be attended to now, but suggested they be re-inspected in 6- 12 months. NO COST...!!!! I will use them in the future for sure, and recommend them to friends with Toyota's and Lexus'

Frankly, I've always expected to get raked over the coals by repair shops. Then I found these guys! They do great work, stick to what they've promised, and bend over backward to help out. I can't recommend them enough! I've been to Ken's twice, once for a long overdue service, and once to fix the a big problem that I couldn't afford to fix the first time. They explained what my options were with the "major problem", but didn't pressure me to fix it immediately, as it wasn't necessary. When I'd finally saved up the money, I went back to them for the work. The job turned out to be more involved and more time-consuming than they expected, but they made no attempt to jack up the price or do shoddy work. They made arrangements for other transportation, and apologized profusely for the delay. What more could I ask for?

I've been using Ken's for several years now on the recommendation of another mechanic who I trust. I've always had a good experience at Ken's. They're very good about making it clear which repairs are necessary (e.g., for safety) and which aren't, so I don't spend money where I don't really need to.

I found Ken on the Mechanics Files initially and I've always appreciated his shop and his mechanic, Phil's work! They are fast, efficient, knowledgable and very, very, cordial. I wouldn't take my Prius anywhere else.

I used to love this place, but lately, I feel like I'm being ripped off. I took my vehicle in for a tune up, which at the dealer cost $290, Ken's charged me $400+! There was nothing wrong with the vehicle, just a normal tuneup 5,000 mile tuneup, no special parts required. I had another problem recently, we knew exactly what it was, I had called him an hour ahead of time so he could order the part. When I got to the shop, the part had not been ordered until I walked in. Had to wait 1.5 hours for the part to arrive at which time they put it in. Took 1/2 hour to put it in. I couldn't believe he hadn't ordered it when I called. Pretty ticked I had to wait 1.5 hours for the part to arrive. Two different friends had recommended me to him 8 years ago, and I appreciate his honesty with what is happening with the car, but I feel like Ken doesn't seem invested anymore. Some things that seem obvious to me for them to do, they didn't, had to ask Ken to ask mechanic if he did it, at which point, when Ken asked, then they would do it. My two friends have stopped going to him several years back, because his prices had gotten too high. I am going to look around myself for someone new, thus I am here.

I have been going to this shop for many years, after trying a number of other places. I have always had excellent experiences, and Phil (the main mechanic) is a real superstar. This shop takes drive-up customers and stays open late to finish up the cars; they charge far less than the dealer and do a much more thorough job; they are careful to let us know our options when the repair is expensive; they identify problems that they see developing and give us a good sense of when (or even if) they actually need to be repaired; on the one occasion (in over 20 years) where they made a mistake, they fixed the problem with no charge and discounted the original work. Although they are a Toyota/Lexus specialist, they have fixed all of our cars over the years from a variety of domestic and foreign manufacturers. I recently bought a new car and had a number of problems with it, so I took it to the dealer, who treated me like I was a dumb blonde and charged me thousands of dollars for what was supposed to be warranty work, and then suggested I was stupid when I questioned the charge. Needless to say, I will gladly pay for the work to be done at Ken's where I know it will be done right and for a reasonable cost, rather than subject myself or my daughter to that treatment at the dealership. We now have four cars, and the entire family goes to Ken.
