I had fairly decent experiences with them. Most of it was good but with one exception: when they couldn't find how our Sienna secured the stock spare tire, three workers searched my car for ten minutes before i walked over and showed them how it worked. The manual was in the glove box but instead they were searching my vehicle like suspicious DEA officials. The real problem with Cain's was when my wife brought in a flat. She's very mechanically competent, and the flattened tire had been inspected by her and two neighbors (one a mechanic) who gave her a hand. Rather than honor the warranty (the tire was six months old) they refused, citing a clean slice on the sidewall that magically appeared after their mechanic inspected it. They were condescending to my wife and the price for the new tire was substantially higher than the one it was replacing (which was not on sale). The only reason not to press charges is because we didn't think to photograph the tire before they touched it. It's possible I would go back if their price was the best, but it would have to be a substantial savings, I'd have to be the one to bring the car in, and I would document everything beforehand.

I brought my wife's Prius to Cain's and the tires they put on the car created a terrible harmonic noise. When we brought it back in they said we had put too many miles (about 1000) on the tires for them to replace them. I have purchased tires for several years for my other vehicles at Cain's so I thought as a repeat customer they would have treated me better. The other thing that they don't offer is free flat repair or free tire rotation. The one great thing about Cain's is that it is next door to the Mayflower Pub where I go and have a pint and watch a soccer game while I have to wait the hour that it always takes for Cain's to do any work I've had preformed. I have begun buying my tires at another place across town (Diamond Tire Center) where they do offer those services free and their prices are competitive. Unfortunately, no good pubs next door to Diamond.
