I first brought my 2001 Subaru Forester in for warranty work two years ago, expecting a battle to get the work done - it was quite a lot of work that should be covered under the powertrain warranty. They listened to my complaints, took a test drive with me to reproduce the problems, offered me driving and maint suggestions and theories on the problems, plus took my own maint records as satisfactory proof of maint. They kept the car for the day and reported back that it needed new gears and a new differential that they covered free of charge under warranty. I have since been back several times for other warranty and non-warranty work. They have always done the job right the first time and have been friendly and honest. I wish I could take my Hondas there too but they said Subarus only :-( They really are great - and I'm generally against going to dealers to work.
