John and Dawn operate a small, growing general repair shop, servicing all kinds of cars, even very old ones. They have two, sometimes three other technicians working with them. John has worked on all of our cars, which include, an Olds, a Mazda, a Nissan, a Voyager, a Honda, a '73 Ford. One time I left a car with John for almost a week, because it had an elusive electrical problem. When he finally fixed it, he insisted, against my protestations, that he charge for only one hour's labor, because he thought he could have found the problem in that time, even though I know he did not. On the Christmas mugs they gave away a couple of years ago, is the motto: "The end of the Quest for Service excellence."

i was told at a local car dealer that i needed a transmission rebuild and it was going to cost 2800.00 , at a friends recoomendation i called autoquest-they quoted me 1800.00 to do the work-i dropped the car off and said go for it-i got a call 2 hrs later from dawn saying i only needed a cable for trans-they installed it the next day and i could not believe it fixed it!! it only cost 160.00!!

Auto transmission stopped working, no noise, no grinding, just no work. John laid out the repair vs. rebuild options, I decided on repair. John found the problem, a wornout part in the hydraulic computer (pretty good bug shooting!) and saved me $1800.

Hello there, John and his crew at Autoquest run the most honest shop that I know. He has worked on three cars for me and did a very good job on all three. The first car that I left for him was a 1989 Camaro with a very weird problem and was fix the first time in a timely matter and was at a reasonable price and the other cars that he worked on was a 1979 Wagoneer and a 1989 Mustang. Keep up the good work Thank You.

Friday, August 3, 2001 I called yesterday and set up an appointment for today. It was so easy, no hassle at all. I thought I might need my brakes replaced ($120), however, I was informed that they only needed adjusting ($48). It is so nice to deal with honest people who know what they are doing (especially since I don't, when it comes to cars). Also, I very much like that a couple is working together---it is great dealing with another woman in connection with this mysterious business of automobiles. I will definitely take my car there again.

They quoted me a price significantly lower than anybody else for a 90k tuneup. Their service was excellent - very polite, knowledgeable and quick. No high pressure sales - found a couple of minor issues that they recommended could be dealt with in a year. I'm very happy with my experience at Autoquest

This is a great shop. John and Dawn are both very friendly and very knowledgable...and honest as the day is long. Being a small shop I've always found their prices to be unbeatable and their work is top notch...I can't recommend them highly enough.

I just moved to the area and my car broke down. Knowing how expensive and unreliable car mechanics are, I have to say I was scared to even start looking for anybody. I found this shop in Car Talk web site, and my experience was great. Car fixed, smoke test passed (they took care of that themselves), and I haven't had a problem with the car for several month now. These guys took their time to explain all my options and prices. I cannot thank them enough. Thanks.
