I discovered Advance Tech while calling around to different shops and dealers to compare prices on 60,000 mile maintenance for my Honda CR-V. Rick answered the phone and really took time to listen to my concerns and answer all of my questions. He was willing to patiently explain everything and didn't try to force me into making quick decisions on my car. As a female customer I really appreciate the fact that these guys have always treated me with respect and have never tried to pull one over on me. They don't offer a lot of coupons or special discounts, but their prices are straightforward and reasonable, and they are reliable and honest. And that is worth quite a lot.

I used them once a few days ago for an oil change. Just your regular 3000 mile oil change. When I got the car back, the idle is too high---2000 rpms, instead of 8 to 900 rpms, as it should be. I don't believe in coincidences, but Rick (the owner) said they didn't even go near this part of the car. According to him, there's no way anything he did could have caused this. He said it's got to be the idle motor and quoted me $500. to replace. This quote was given over the counter, and not after he'd looked at the idle problem. Somehow, I don't like the feel of this. There could be a sensor wire loose or some other thing as a result of their changing the oil. I guess I'll keep searching for an honest mechanic. I won't go back to Advance Tech.
