The shop is very clean. They also are a AAA approved auto repair shop, and if you need a ride home or be picked up they do that to. I have been going to the shop for a long time they have became good friends

The airconditioning on my wife's Toyota quit working last August while we were visiting her parents on a 107 degree day. The only shop open was one of those zippy-lube places and when we called they said they could fix the a/c. Without looking under the hood more that five minutes, zippy told us the repair bill would be almost two thousand dollars because of all the parts that needed to be replaced. The next Monday we took the car to Jim at Folsom Autotech and relayed the story. Jim charged us for 30 minutes labor to cover the cost of finding and tightening the wire that had come loose. He could have told us that zippy was right and we'd have authorized him to do the $2,000 repair, but instead of making a quick two grand, he's earned two costome

If you live/work in the local area they offer drop off/pick up service, very handy if you work close by. They have been very pleasant to work with. The shop is very clean.

I have a well-used (okay, old and beat up) Acura Integra that is basic transportation....They "get it" and don't try to make everything perfect but safe and good enough for its intended use. I took the car in for a dead engine diagnosis (old battery had shorted out) and they fixed it promptly and explaned the issue and taught me a thing or two. At the same time they suggested that I have the timing belt replaced (at 150K) since it hadn't been done since around 70K (bad news waiting to happen). Repairs were done promptly and reasonably--they identified some non-critical things that could improve performance but at 150K they also recommended against doing that work (they are simply thorough and give you options....). Their work and attitude earned them a customer and subsequently I've had the ABS pump replaced several months later. While they flushed the brake lines the "approved" way there was some pedal softing (e.g. "screw up") which I noticed after driving it a day or so. I brought it back the next day and they jumped right on it and manually bled the brakes while I waited (all of 10 minutes) and apologized profusely. How they handled this mistake really bought some loyalty--other mechnanics I've used over the years have tried to blame this thing on me or make you wait days to fix it.

*******Anyone between the ages of 18 and 30 know that these guys have NO RESPECT for you******** I wish I could put no stars because these people are HORRIBLE!!!! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY ARE LIARS!!!!!! JOHN, whom I think is their secretary, is their biggest problem. I have multiple cars and still have my first car I ever bought, which I keep repaired and in running condition. I put my first car, a 1993 honda accord, in their shop a couple months ago and its the last time Ill ever go there, after 6 years. :( Heres what happened: I put my car in on a Friday, John the incompetent secretary took down the WRONG telephone number. I have a 916 number and this imbecile took down some 734 area code...Anyways, he said he would call on Monday, didn't and then called on Tuesday after figuring out he took down the wrong number and after digging through my car to find the number he shouldve taken down the first time. He then proceeded to BLAME me for this problem and then began asking me these questions repeatedly: "Haven't you been wondering where your car is kid?" "Well?" "Well? Dont you want your car fixed kid?" When I pointed out that he took down the wrong number he then proceeded to call me "CHILDISH" and told me that he only took down what I told him. At this point I realized that John is an idiot and decided I didn't need to deal with him anymore as he's just another lowly peon Ive come across in my lifetime. Being 26 years old and beyond this man's maturity by years I told him I didnt appreciate how he was talking to me and that if he couldnt talk to me politely Im sure the shops owner would be happier to deal with me. He told me the shops owner was in but that he wouldnt let me speak to the shop's owner and that I would have to come down there. So I did, and when I got there none of them would let me talk to the shop owner, they already had my car out of the bay and at this point I was ready to never talk to or see these losers again, so I left. Just thought I would let anyone between the ages of 18 and 30 know that these guys have NO RESPECT for you. Especially their desk jockey John.
