My call to make an appointment with this repair shop was one of the rudest customer service experiences of my life. They outright refused to use the quality name brand parts that I requested for my car (Magnaflow Catalytic Converter), refused to weld flanges in for a direct fit Catalytic Converter (he was only willing to weld the Catalytic Converter itself directly into the car because he "didn't have flanges", when I offered to supply the flanges he said "you are asking me to do something that I am not willing to do", in reality he ONLY wants to use the cheapest Catalytic Converter possible which is only available in weld on universal types, not direct fit), wanted to charge me an outrageous amount just to look at my car, wouldn't warranty the Catalytic Converter for more than 12 months (again, the cheapest part possible which is useless for smog tests when they are required every 2 years while Magnaflows have a 5 year warranty) and even going as far as to say that if I needed a new Catalytic Converter that my "engine was probably bad" without any even looking at my car (I have only 75,000 miles on this engine)! This place uses the cheapest parts possible to maximize profits and to me sounded like they prey on customers who know nothing about auto mechanics, as soon as he realized that I knew what I was talking about, he wanted nothing to do with my business. Other shops I called about this thought this shop was shady as well for refusing to use a name brand part requested by the customer. Beware of this place, I wouldn't trust them with my car and you shouldn't either.
