I moved to Berkeley from New York City, and H&B was the only mechanic that the BMW Car Club of America ("BMWCCA") recommended in the area. Happily, H&B is a seeming clone of the shop in New York to which I was also referred by the BMWCCA, The Little Garage, in Queens, New York, run by Matt Meng, who, like Allen Hardy and George Maslovski of H&B, are gentlemen of exceptional integrity, not just among auto mechanics, but among people in general. All of the people who work at H&B are friendly, even including Jeff, who's responsible for ordering parts! What's more, even though there are obvious atmospherics in which there is high priority to "getting the job done right" punctually, H&B does not have the air of a sweat shop. Allen won't submit his lustworthy 2002 as a loaner to customers, but, as a consolation, there are plenty of dog biscuits on hand for the more easily satisfied yet more demanding among us!

H&B is a small, owner-operated shop that is highly professional.
