I took my honda civic here for the four years that I lived in Tucson, and I wish I could have taken them with me when I moved away! They were great about telling me what was wrong with my car, how long I had to fix the problem, how I would know when a problem had gotten worse, and they always stuck to the price quoted to me even if I didn't have the repair done until a few months after they told me about it. Several times, they were able to fix a part instead of putting an entirely new part in, and were willing to call junk yards to find spare replacements for things like my rear-view mirror.

I brought my Infiniti in because it had a really bad power steering fluid leak. Micro suggested I replace the high pressure hose, the power steering pump (can't rebuild this pump, they said), and the return (low pressure) hose. The estimate was over $1000. I started calling around for parts and everyone I talked to who knew Infinitis kept asking me, "Are you SURE you need the return hose and power steering pump?" I also found out that there IS a rebuild kit for my power steering pump. I decided to replace the high pressure hose on my own and that was the only thing leaking. I don't know if they just don't know my car very well or were looking to dupe me, but the repair estimates were way overpriced and two of the three were uneccessary.

Dan at Micro-Imports is wonderful. My son brought his car to his shop and Dan worked with us long distance to make the appropriate repairs. He was very honest and forthright about what needed to be done now and what we could wait on. However, what impressed me the most was when my son had a breakdown in Irvine, CA, Dan worked with him via telephone to ensure that what we were being told by the mechanic in Irvine, was right. Even though Dan wasn't getting the business, he spent the time necessary to assist us. This was exceptional customer service.

Very thorough inspection. They helped prioritize a long list of repairs. They explained everything thoroughly and even had discussion about the cost of the repairs vs. the value of the car itself. Taking my second car in today.
