Great Body shop. Reasonable prices, quality work. Will pick-up and deliver car.

This is a body shop for the little guy. I had a severely bent door/hinge on my old chevy truck (your classic "driveway post meets open door on truck in reverse, driveway post bends open door backwards" story). I thought I could replace it myself so I picked up a door at a yard, bought new brackets for the hinges, and then realized there was welding involved. In taking the truck around for estimates, most Tucson body shops just had dollar signs in their eyes. If you don't have insurance to cover their bloated prices, forget it. Also, they wouldn't even entertain the idea of using my used replacement door and/or kept pointing out false and expensive "frame" or "column" damage. Larry at Action took one look, didn't even flinch when I told him I had my own parts, and gave me a flat estimate for hundreds (and I mean HUNDREDS) less than any other shop I talked to. It was done in a day and the door works great. Larry is unbelievably accomadating when it comes to drop-off and pick-up times. I've had pretty good luck finding honest mechanical repair in Tucson. With a little trial and error you can find a trustworthy shop with a trustworthy staff. But a body shop that caters to people who have to pay for their repairs out of their own pocket? I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't experience it. Action is a great find.

This is a little shop on a very crowded lot; but Larry does OK work at an extremely low price. He keeps you informed and does what he says he will.

I wanted to have them repair and paint and install a used front bumper cover. I delivered the used part and paid the estimated cost. I was told it would take about 7-10 days. Called after that to check and was told two to three days more. Called again and was put off again. After a month it was finally painted. I scheduled to have it ionstalled. When I arrived the place was locked up. I called the owner and he came out and opened up. I decided I could not trust him any longer and took the VERY WELL REPAIRED bumper cover. His work was totally good. His business practices are based on putting customers off with promises that are meaningless. Very very unprofessional.
