All I can say is that he is very competent and honest. He runs a shop with 2 other mechanics.He is satisfied with his situation, his mechanics have been with him for many years, and he has no intentions of expanding his business. He is so popular and his reputation is so good that the retirement community of Hot Springs Village (population of 13,000) uses his services to the fullest. If you have a car problem, you have to stand in line. His back log is usually about 3 weeks, and most people will go thru the inconvenience to wait for him to repair their cars rather than used the authorized dealers shop. If he finds that he cannot fix your car, he will not charge you, no matter how much time his shop has spent working on it.

They are very competent and honest. They have fixed all of my problems in a timely manner and their charges are very reasomable. I had a problem with one of my cars suddenly losing power and stalling for a difficult to diagnose reason. They worked with me for almost 3 months, finally fixing the problem for very reasonable cost. they are so popular in this area that their is usually a 2 week wait to get an appointment, but it is woth it if you can affod the wait

I love the way he treats his female customers--like we have a brain!! In a community where there are lots of single women (mostly widows), that is important. Steve was recommended to us 18 years ago, and has been doing all our service since then. We trust him, and as a result we buy all our tires and batteries from him. Go Steve!!

Steve has always fixed my cars right the first time..plymouth dealer wanted $800 for a repair that steve did for $250..never a question about the quality of their work..done right at a reasonable price hard to find unfortunately..i recommend him to any and all that ask.

My vehicle needed a 90,000 mile service, timing belt, etc and my regular shop was in the middle of a major relocation and rebuild. Based on old reviews from Car Talk, I chose this garage after a visit and discussion with the owner. He estimated three hours plus a little more if the water pump and belts needed replacement. At 90,000 miles I expected the belts (A/C, power steering, etc) would need replacement and knew that most mechanics will recommend water pump replacement as long as the engine is "opened up". All were replaced with the leaky pump available for my inspection. An air conditioned waiting room is not available, nor is transportation. A neighbor acted as a courtesy driver. The total cost was one-half of the estimated cost by the dealer 60 miles away and only 2/3 of the estimated cost by a Toyota dealer 25 miles away. The address shown is correct but the location shown in the illustration near Belvedere Golf Course is not correct. After two weeks of driving, I'm confident the repairs are satisfactory. The two bay shop is crowded with a good bit of clutter but benches and floor looked clean. The lot is crowded with cars. Allow two to three weeks to to schedule a regular maintenance appointment. blee
