The professionals at Warren's restore my faith in mechanics! My last car was a 1995 Camaro which, lucky for me, usually had small problems. I brought my car to them on one occasion because it was overheating, and I was convinced that the thermostat was bad. Silly me, I didn't check the fluids. It turned out that the car was just thirsty. They gave her some fluids and charged me about $10 for the labor. If I had taken the car anywhere else I am positive that I would have been ripped over, and probably for a new radiator. They are always courteous and have never been condescending. I recommend Warren's to everyone that I know.

I am the second generation of customer, working with the second generation of Warrens. My parents started taking their cars there soon after we came to Tuscaloosa in 1963, and I have had no reason to go anywhere else. Once, they advised me to buy the cheapest, shortest-life battery for a car that obviously wasn't going to last long, when I'd asked for the most expensive one. That's how honest they are.

I have been doing business with Warren for over 20 years and cannot say enough good things about them. They have always been honest, reliable, and totally dependable. You can never go wrong with these guys. They are also the most courteous people you could ever hope to deal with. They will treat you like one of the family every time you go in. And will always give you a ride!

My 2002 Dakota pick-up turned the 128,000 mark. Except for a brake job, tires, fluid changes and a serpentine belt, I have not put any real money or service into this vehicle. The check engine light had been on for years due to vacuum leaks. I took the truck in to be checked over and have the necessary work done. I left myself wide open....The Warren Tire guys told me my original battery was still strong and good, the serpentine belt was replaced, a new gas cap installed, oil change and that was pretty much it. I was told if the engine light came on again to bring it back in. It was one week to the day the light came back on. The trouble was tracked back to a defective solenoid that pumps gas into a filter. This part is on back order and runs over $700. The mechanic was honest with me in that all I'm losing is some gas mileage with that part out. There is no chance of damaging the engine but the engine light will stay on. They could have taken me to the cleaners.... this explains why if you do not show up when the shop opens, there is no room to park! Great honest shop A+ in my book!

I looked up mechanics on Car Talk, and this shop had great reviews. They are everything everyone said, and more. They could have tried to rip me off. My problem was very simple, and they got me up and running in 1 day. I even took my sister back to the hospital and picked her up after the car was worked on.

The shop manager is very knowledgable about whether OEM or other parts are suitable for each kind of repair. It's a hoppin' place, and the (retired) owner Jimmy Warren is the customer service maestro. They give the same care to customers calling to find out prices for used tires as they do to customers coming in due to "runnin' problems". They never promise work they can't deliver. They haul you to wherever you need to go and pick you up when you're vehicle is ready. If you're ever in the neighborhood about 7a.m., it's an entertainment value.
