Brigg's Automotive is owned by William Briggs. William is the sole proprieter and all of his business is done on word or mouth. William is an expert in the repair and maintenance of SAAB, Audi, Volvo, Mercedes Benz, Porche, Land Rover, just to name a few. William's shop is located on the 1/4 mile long driveway that leads to his home on the edge of Camden Hills State Park. William has strong connections with many dealers/service centers from New York to Massachusettes to other parts of Maine. If William is presented with a mechanical issue that he has not encountered before, he will consult with other mechanics with expertise with the particular make/model. William will willingly gives estimate. Last year, my 1999 SAAB 9/5 ended up needing to be at his garage a couple of days longer than anticipated and offered me his own 1995 Mercedes E-Series as a loaner. He is personable and reliable and stands behind the repairs/service he provides. He also keeps records of all repairs done at his shop.

William Briggs has been working on my SAABS since Spring 2005. In 2006 I purchased a 1999 SAAB 9/5 SE from William which he had purchased from SHAW SAAB in Norwell Mass. William has a Good connection with the dealer and a GREAT relationship with the Service Department. If William is having difficulty problem solving a repair, he will not hesitate to call the Service Department at Shaw SAAB. I am not mechanically inclined at all and William doesn't take advantage of that. On one repair on my 1999 SAAB 9/5 which was taking a LOT longer than anticipated, William took the risk of giving me his WIFE'S! 500 Series Mercedes Sedan as a loaner. THAT was SWEET! William treats me well and accomodates my schedule as best he can.

William is a real car guy. Seems to really care about the work he does. He's a little out of the way but worth searching him out, I think.

William Briggs returns calls for appointment most timely, he runs his shop on time, and the physical surroundings are so clean, he could serve meals to clients. He works on foreign cars which is a huge benefit to "summer people," as dealerships are few and far between in Maine. This is a top notch person running a top notch business.
