Dwayne and Sandy (his wife, who keeps the books) have the small town garage that everyone wishes they could bring their car to--honest, competent, friendly. I've got 194,000 miles on my truck and I won't let anyone else work on it. He'll disassemble and repair when possible, instead of replacing an entire assembly, to save you money. And he won't unneccesarily replace things like plug wires if they are still good. Major jobs like a transmission or clutch are done at a reasonable cost and with no problems afterward.

Everything the other guy said is true. I was referred to him by my stepson, who is also very good and very demandng, and doesn't have time to work on his mothers or my car. So I figured if he would send hismothers car there, it was ok with me. He knows what he is doing. He does try to save money, and will rectify any unright work. A most excellent facility. to fill in the other date... the address is 269 Route 4, Berwick Maine 03901. (207) 384 2675

I'm a recovering mechanic, so I have an "inside" view along wih a "customer" perspective on repair shops. If I ever fell off the wagon, this is the kind of place I would want to work at. The shop area is orderly and clean, which I take as a good indication of the pride and care a shop takes in their work. I've been a customer for many years. If one of my vehicles needs something that I don't want to, or don't have time to do myself, this is where it goes. They're friendly, competent, and determined to fix it right the first time. They won't waste your money, but they won't cut corners and do a poor job either. They don't have loaners, but they'll give you a ride if you need it.

Rice's Automotive has been my garage of choice for several years. They have worked on all my vehicles, from a 1965 Cutlass I bought recently to our 2004 Silverado. With several Hondas thrown in too. They are all very personable and helpful. On two occasions I have had to have cars towed by them and they are VERY prompt. Nice people, excellent work, reasonable prices..the best!

We have taken both our Subaru and our Mazda(s) to Rice's for the past several years and have had consistently good service from them.
