This is the only place I'll bring my cars to if I have a choice. The few times I had to have my car towed to local places (names will be withheld; this is a place for *good* reviews, after all!) I've had to sit on pillows afterwards. I am willing to travel a 60 mile round trip each time I need car work done, just to have Dan and his team of mechanics work on my cars (even inspections). They have even helped me to recover losses from another mechanic for work I was billed for but Dan discovered never got done. CCC is the place! Dan, you are da Man!

Dan and his crew are honest, inexpensive and very competent. I once took my car there without an appointment because the brakes were making horrible noises. They had it fixed in a couple of hours. Recently, I went to them after a Ford dealer told me I needed a new catalytic converter. Dan agreed that the CC was bad, but said that it would not affect the operation of the car, and not to bother spending $1100 on it. He also said that, if he were me, he would have the dealer replace it. I moved from the area where this shop is to about 30 miles away, but continue to take my cars there.

If given a chance, I never bring my car to any other place than Capital Car Care. Dan is, without doubt, the most honest technician I have known. You might spend a lot of time trying to figure out who to take your car to when it breaks down. I trust this place explicitly. My first experience was when a VW dealer in Waterville tried to replace a stolen stereo. We kept bringing the car in and every day they would tell us that they didn't have the right parts, yet charge us for the work. We brought the car to CCC and they told us the work done by Thompson Volkswagen had never been done and Thompson also overcharged us for the promise of a new Stereo system. They contacted Thompson and set the record straight. CCC installed the new stereo for far less than the other place who reimburesed us for the work. Since then, they have been our mechanics of choice. God bless you Dan.
