I have been going to Brooks-Huff in Padonia for the last 2 years. The first year was fabulous. I would drive almost an hour to their shop to have my service done there because I trusted them. Their prices were(and are currently) very fair, they were prompt, courteous, did quality work, and always explained the problem to you. Unfortunately one of the owners left the store and since then the service has declined significantly. My biggest beef has been with typical customer service behaviors and communication. The service managers no longer really explains the problem to you. Also, I recently had a brake job done with them and the brakes were squaling a lot. I took my car into a new mechanic (who I found by using this site and am very happy with) and they informed me that the Brooks-Huff failed to put shims behind the brake pads, thus causing the squeaking. My new mechanic suggested that putting on shims was a typical part of a brake job and that they should have done it. Anyway, all I have to say is that I'll be using my new mechanic found off this site from now on (saving myself both a long drive and a bit of grief). All hail "Click and Clack"! Thanks for this site!

Talk about dedicated...if they couldn't fix the problem the first time, they were obsessed with finding out what it was. Mark Ditt, the service manager, is an outstanding, principled mechanic.
