Jim takes the time to explain and priotize any needed repairs on my Honda. Motor Works has been taking GREAT care of my Honda since it was new. They provide me with a loaner vehicle, (no charge) any time my vehicle is in for repairs. When it is time to purchase my next car, it will be a Honda so I can continue my relationship with Motor Works!

In my opinion, if you own an Acura or a Honda, then it doesnt matter where you live, or how far you have to drive to take your car here, they are the one to see. They specialize in Acura/Honda vehicles, are very knowledgeable, and solve those very difficult, hard to diagnose and repair problems that other shops have screwed up, and have given up on, and referred to them. I am one of them, my brake light kept coming on, and another unmentionable supposedly famous and reputable shop in Seabrook MD was unable to "replicate" my problem. Well, I wasn't going back to them. So, Motor Works found out that I just simply needed new brakes, and now my '01 is feeling and running and braking like it was brand new. Im just really thrilled and happy with these folks. I can't go anywhere else after my experience with them.

Greg Skolnik has operated Motor Works for nearly 15 years. He and his staff specialize in Honda, but will work on customer's other cars. They operate by appointment and are open Monday thru Thursday - see their web page at www.motor-works.com for more info. I could not say enough about Greg's competence, especially as a diagnostician as well as an extremely fair businessman. Motor Works takes all the fear out of auto repair. I have known Greg a long time and have always had a great experience at Motor Works. Their work is fast and extremely c

I have known Greg Skolnik for all the time he has owned and operated Motor Works. Greg is a superb diagnostician, has always done the job right the first time for me, and has never failed to make me comfortable with the process of repairing my vehicles. In addition, I have watched Greg talk to many customers and he absolutely makes them all feel at ease about working on their cars. Although they specialize in Hondas, Greg has worked on a Toyota, Volkswagon and Plymouth for me. Greg is someone I can always rely on. My only problem is that I no longer live in Rockville and Greg can't service my vehicle for me!

I first heard about this repair shop from the CarTalk webpage. I thought I'd give them a try. I am so glad I did. They are quick, thorough, honest, and explain what needs to be done (or why it doesn't need to be done) clearly and succinctly. They also provide free loaner cars (when available), free transportation to the subway (and pickup from said station when you return to get your car). They've dropped me off at my house, and picked me up there as well. All in all, the best service I had experienced in my nearly 35 years of having cars repaired.

They worked on my Honda recently, and informed me I needed $2300 worth of work instead of the $300 I had budgeted. They were a little pushy about doing this extra work - didn't ever ask if I had the money (which I had to borrow from about everyone I knew), or ask if I wanted to postone someone of the less-needy repairs, etc. Maybe their other customers are very wealthy? But the repairs they did very done in a first-rate manner, very professional and adept at their work, and they were excellent at explaining each and ever item they had fixed. I will take my car there in the future - providing they don't sack me with another huge bill like that.

Greg and his staff seem more like taking your car to the dealership- coffee is available, it is clean, the mechanics are very thorough (bordering on anal retentive) and the work is done 100% efficiently. These guys know Hondas and Acuras (including Hybrids) extremely well and walk you through everything they are about to do. I have learned quite a bit about my car since taking it to them. The negative- the prices are almost the same as at a dealership and they expect the customer to accept every repair they suggest. I have had some high bills from Motorworks, but the problems have never repeated themselves and I feel confident the car is ready for a big trip after Motor Works checks it out. (My Integra has 165K miles and is running better than my friends' brand new Jettas, etc)
